Ukulele Workshops for Beginners
From time to time D’Ukes run workshops for those starting to learn how to play the ukulele. The workshops include how to tune a uke, some basic chords and some strumming pattens. The workshops are based around learning a song or two from the D’Ukes Jam Songbook.

Looking back: in 2017 we had… D’UkesFest
D’UkesFest 2017 took place at the Colchester Arts Centre (Church Street, Colchester, CO1 1NF) on the 8th July (12 Noon to 5pm). This was the first time the festival has been held in Colchester and it promised to be an afternoon of ukulele fun including performances showcasing ukulele acts, ukulele workshops, stalls and much more, ending in a mass ukulele Jam. The aim of the festival was to encourage people of all ages to play the ukulele. Our flyer contains details of the event and the acts performing on the day included: Barstools, Bex and Freda, Bimini Twist, Clacton Uke Group, Countless Ukes, Elly Tree and Juke Box. AND DON’T FORGET TO DOWNLOAD THE D’UkesFest 2017 Songbook
